Personal history
Etteus came into being as a radiant golden stag, born amidst the pristine forests that teemed with life. His birth heralded an era of balance and harmony in the natural world, as he roamed the woodlands with grace and majesty, embodying the untamed spirit of the wilderness.
Drawn by the allure of the unknown, Etteus ventured deep into the heart of the forest, where he stumbled upon an ancient, enchanted grove. Within its mystical confines lay a pool of shimmering waters. Unable to resist the lure of its mysteries, Etteus gazed into the pool, his reflection shimmering back at him with an otherworldly glow. He was turned from stag to god.
Failures & Embarrassments
Seeing how industrialization by the dwarves and humans had affected the environment, Etteus summoned the Wild Hunt in what is now the Cyraneed Empire. This plan failed after a war lasting roughly two centuries. He was shunned by the other gods, and by many of the inhabitents of Numira themselves.
Morality & Philosophy
Central to Etteus' philosophy is the recognition of the interdependence of all living beings. He believes that every creature, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, plays a vital role in sustaining the delicate balance of ecosystems. From the pollination of flowers by bees to the decomposition of organic matter by fungi, each interaction keeps life existant.
Etteus teaches that every creature possesses inherent value and deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion. Whether feathered, furred, or scaled, each being is a manifestation of the divine spark that animates the cosmos. This, however, fosters the idea that all living creatures have the same amount of value. A human and a cockroach, even.
