Fireheart Cult
A cult of the god of the Sun and goddess of Love in the capital city of Etrusca (with the mother chapel being attached to the coliseum), the Fireheart Cult is led by Kurt and Claudia. At the climax of Gin & Meade's great fight to rescue Chun and Penelope from the slaver Brutus, the god of the Sun and the goddess of Love empowered Kurt and Claudia respectively, enlightening them and revealing the truth of the unified cult to them.
Having lived luxurious and even lascivious lives (including with each other) Kurt and Claudia were enlightened as to the true nature of love, sexuality and fecundity and resolved to teach the people of Etrusca - who had debased sex and made use of prostitution, promiscuity and even contraceptive and abortive drugs - this truth.
Honoring Chun's sacrifice as an exemplar of love and taking the chapel of the god of the Sun attached to the coliseum as their mother-chapel, Kurt and Claudia (joined by Claudia's daughters and Kurt's allies the midget gladiators) founded the Fireheart Cult and protected the petrified body of Penelope as Gin & Meade journeyed to the Pearl Sea to find the antidote to the lamia poison.
