Temekral is the main city of Merema, the eastern county of Vakúlstó, eastern quarter of the empire of Dalra in eastern Emlas. Built by the Pakrans of western Laxilþía across the sea centuries ago, it's mostly populated by their descendants, the Húlpakrans, renowned for their artist, craftsmen and philosophers.

Demographics

Most of the inhabitants are either húlpakrans or Dalrans, along with Jorps, Ebþúkans and, to lesser extend, Enans.

Infrastructure

Like Silþa to the north, Temekral is laid out in a grid plan, a practice that was already in place in Laxilþía but became the standard in pakran colonies, particularly in Emlas. The main market is located at the center and connects its four main streets, the eastern one leading to the harbour, the northern one towards Silþa, the western one towards the Zamra Mountains, and a southern one that curves outside the city around a promontory where the great temple is built.
Near the marketplace is the governor's palace, which predates the dalran occupation.

Architecture

Temekral boasts of one the world's greatest temples and the largest built in pakran style, variously known as the Great Temple of Zínó or Temekral, or simply The Great Temple. Located on a promontory south of the city, it honours Zínó, goddess of love and patron deity of Temekral.
