Benarg Paxtan-Tyren
Benarg Paxtan- Tyren
Benarg was the son of Alisha Tyren, a Guard Captain in High Hill, born in 407KS. As a teen he spent ten months Squiring for ser Lorrie, but was not a good fit for the profession, and instead joined the ranks of High Hill's men-at-arms.
Benarg's unit was escorting ser Allon Southbay and so was absent from High Hill when it collapsed in 431KS.
Some years later Benarg joined The Lost Striders, a Mercenary Company active across The Continent of Greland, eventually rising to the position of second-in-command to Renney Norcross.
in 443KS the Lost Striders found themselves part of a large force of mercenaries in the employ of House Darklyn of Darklyn Point formed to oppose A Coalition formed by House Southbay of Southbay to depose Hallkatla Darklyn. However due to the work of ser Allon's Spymaster the knight was able to get a letter to Benarg, calling upon their childhood allegiance to convince him to turn his cloak and join the Southbay forces. The evening Benarg scratched Renney Norcross with a dagger laced with Whitesnake Venom, and left him to die on what would become the battlefield of Eastcross, a sign to ser Allon that he would do as was asked of him. The Lost Striders betrayed the other mercenaries in the heat of the ensuing battle, and assisted the forces of Southbay in winning a crushing victory against the Darklyns.
The Lost Striders continued to serve ser Allon's cause throughout the campaign against Hallkatla, with Benarg amongst those caught up in the climactic fighting in The Darklyn Point Throne Room.
Following ser Allon's elevation to Duke of the lands Between the Mountains the Lost Striders continued to serve Southbay, with the promise of a landed position for Benarg once one became available.
In 449KS, during a routine employment against bandits in The Southbay Duchy, Benarg's habitual use of Whitesnake Venom turned against him, and a small nick while sharpening his axe rapidly festered and led to an excrutiating death. He was succeeded by ser Elyse Paxtan as commander of the Lost Striders and Mayor of Stokefil.
