Structure

The current commander of the Lost Striders, Renney Norcross, keeps only a single other officer below him in the hierarchy of the company, a Baycotte Swamper by the name of Benarg. The current commander of the Lost Striders is a Baycotte Swamper by the name of Benarg Tyren, a former resident of High Hill with ties to ser Allon Southbay's family. He has come into command only recently, following his slaying of the former captain Renney Norcross on the eve of The Battle of Eastcross.

Tactics

The Lost Striders prefer to take the left-most flank of any engagement in the hope of striking at the vulnerable sword arms of their foe and avoiding shields. They are a disciplined and efficient fighting force, particularly adept at repelling charging enemies with their hedge of spears. During an engagement Renney allows Benarg to take command of the three units that make up their main line, preferring to stay in reserve with the second-line unit and choose the right moment to reinforce, flank, or lead a push through the battlelines. they form a single disciplined line.

History

In April of 443KS, at The Battle of Eastcross the Lost Striders turned their cloaks and ambushed their allies The Queens' Men. This has permanently affected their reputation.
During the The Battle of Blackmyre Castle the Lost Striders fought on the extreme left flank of ser Allon Southbay's gathered forces, supporting the forces of House Southbay of Southbay. They captured seventeen men-at-arms of The Order of the Hippogryph as well as putting down several bands of the Baycotte Swampers brought in to support the House Darklyn forces. As a result of this performance on the field their reputation recovered from the stain brought on by their previous betrayal.

Historical loyalties

The Striders were last seen in The Kingdom of Somercrag in the early months of 441KS, in the service of House Lowblade of Serpent's Bridge.
