A cavalry hammer, as the name suggests, is a type of hammer most often employed by mounted fighters. It is weighted in a way which makes it unwieldy to use on foot but when combined with the momentum and height advantage of a steed can be devastating.

Cavalry:
- This weapon suffers -dd from attacks made while on foot.
- This weapon adds +s to attacks made on a turn where its bearer charges.
Disorient-3:
- This weapon can spend aaa on a successful melee attack to inflict +d on the target's next Skill Check.
Unwieldy:
- This weapon is less ideal for defending against attacks. Decrease the difficulty of any melee attacks targeting the equipped model by -d, to a minimum of d.
Crushing:
- This weapon can spend an additional a when it scores a Critical Hit to score a Crushing Critical Hit instead.
When equipped by a Military Unit a Cavalry Hammer is one of many kinds of Hand Weapon, it has no effect on the unit's fighting capabilities.
Potential Improvements
- Bec-de-Corbin: Some Cavalry Hammers can be crafted with a secondary Military Pick built into the reverse of the head. They may make choose to make attacks with the secondary weapon at any time. The pick-head gains the Cavalry and Unwieldy qualities from this weapon.
- Pole-Haft: Some Cavalry Hammers can be crafter with a longer haft. This increases the Range to Reach-1. A weapon with Range: Reach-1 adds +d to Melee Attacks made against targets with non-Reach weapons. A weapon with Range: Reach cannot be used to full effect when Engaged, instead it uses the profile for a Staff.
