Chrestan Smith
Chrestan smith was a Lowborn blacksmith who owned a workshop and shop in Barrowton. He married Celia Smith, who ran the shop side of his business. They had one child together, Barrian Smith.
Chrestan's talent saw him spared the wrath of ser Theadwyn Wynch when they passed through Barrowton. Later, when the Shades in the barrows below the town were disturbed by House Wynch's troops, Chrestan and his wife accepted Lady Ophelia Foxworth-Hayford's invitation to move to Saltreach, where he took over the delapidated ruins of the settlement's former smithy.
Chrestan was amongst those swindled by Clifton Browne following The Tourney at Fairstrand 441KS, and was close to striking him down when Ophelia intervened, talking Chrestan and the rest of the crowd down and allowing the trader to leave unharmed.
In 447KS his wife Celia died, and Chrestan died shortly after from grief. His son Barrian took over his business in Saltreach, having spent years as his apprentice.
