Lady Adelia Locke
Lady Adelia Locke
Lady Adelia was the daughter of ser Jeyla Locke and Dannys Locke, the granddaughter of ser Lyla Locke and ser Sarisa Locke-Roote, who founded House Locke of Riverfoot as a cadet branch of House Blackbar of Castle Blackbar in 351KS. She was the Lady of Riverfoot for forty years. Her first spouse was ser Jaxson Locke-Epper, the uncle of Lady Branwyn and ser Bramble Epper. They had five children together, ser Tearlach, Brigitte, Alora, ser Dyanne and ser Derrick. These children went on to marry into House Paege of The Catacomb, House Marchart of the Royal Archive and House Peake of Two Points. Ser Tearlach, her heir, married Jackar Locke-Leonine, a cousin of House Somercrag of Bayglen. Ser Derrick, her youngest child, was an accomplished Tourney Knight and, with no expectation of future lands or titles, married a lowborn woman from Riverfoot's kitchens.
As of 443KS her children had gaven rise to nine grandchildren.
Following the death of ser Jaxson in a Hunting Accident in Redwatch Adelia took Diamanta Locke to be her wife. Sadly Diamanta died in 435KS of The Sickness.
In 441KS House Locke's liege Duke Croll Blackbar rewarded his cousin for their loyal service and their armies' part in putting down The Irogonie Aggression by landing son ser Derrick Quay as the Lord of Cainfield, a newly formed holding in the lands ceded to Somercrag by The Kingdom of Irogonie as part of their surrender.
House Locke had long given up living in their castle in Riverfoot, preferring instead to live in a small manor outside the town proper, so Adelia was little affected by the strange Blackstone phenomenon that blighted the town for the year of 443KS.
Lady Adelia died in 445KS at the age of seventy-four.
