Red Blades' Merchant Consortium
Despite its simple construction, the Consortium is remarkably opulent for a building in Low Alhaster. Its interior is rarely glimpsed by the plebeian citizens, who aren't permitted past the entryway, let alone into the meeting-halls with their velvet-cushioned seats and gilded scales.
The entry fees for membership in the consortium are exorbitant to say the least, and only extreme wealth, nepotism, or a mix of both permits a person entry these days.
Purpose / Function
The Consortium serves as a meeting-hall for the merchant lords, where they can negotiate and manage the trade affairs of the city.
History
Founded long ago by retired mercenaries who wished for a more stable career, it quickly gave way to corruption and greed.
