When the staff is recognised as a fake, a fight breaks out between the party and the Tinatoa.

Marcus and the Tinatoa have also brought Goblin snipers. They reveal they kidnapped Professor Tarris to be able to verify the staff's authenticity and as a result, it is revealed to be a fake. A brutal battle takes place as a result. Seth manages to get to Zaya and free her, both hiding for safety. The party is victorious but not without consequence.
