The old castle raven has long stood at the end of the fjord, long was it the bastion of the old ruling Adain family of the Scalian Kingdom, and the last stand of their huskarls, only defeated in the end by some of the locals who broke their vows and showed a secret way into the bastion, something which has stained the honor of it's inhabitants since then. To many, the old castle is haunted and the city an old omen. A perception that runs deep in the residents who developed somewhat of a complex since then, fierce supports of the Stolbrand lineage, has long produced some of the fiercest regiments in all of the Ostfjorn and is the only place in the region where one can train for a professional military career.
Somewhat Uniquly in the great cities of the south, one can find the old Grove or Ting, of the druids still standing, and though few openly practice the old ways there, it is not uncommon for folk to bask beneath the great Ceader tree that stands here or for some to leave small tokens to the ancestors.
