A new blade introduced in 791AP as a retort to the power era of 750AP where many pro balters relied on brute force using the Bludgeoner. In the shield's short life several champions have already claimed use of this blade. The combination of piercing attacks and impenetrable defence have led to its rising popularity and why so many top 10 balters use this blade.
Unfortunately, its defence-minded capabilities, due to the huge circular head, have meant it's not a favourite blade amongst the fans who prefer to see attacking balters.

Blade features:

• Huge head provides a class leading sweet spot offering consistently accurate shots and also superior defensive capabilities.
• Aerodynamic shaft allows for improved wind-resistance and faster swing speed.
• The head's coated with a textured synthetic that allows class-leading after-touch effects to the balt. Spin and curving the balt become second nature with the Impregnable.
• Longer handle allows the blade to be used either one or two-handed.

Goster's opinion:

In my opinion the Impregnable is the best all-round blade for those who don't have an Aurae ability. Using superior materials and a sophisticated design makes this a weapon suitable for balters of all levels.
If you are an Air practitioner that prefers to show-off your Arena moves then the Paddle would be a better choice.
If you are a Water power player then the the Club is still your number one choice.
The Shield adds powerful effects to the balt and so Fire users should also avoid and stick with the the Original instead. But everyone else should give the Shield a try, I'm confident your game will dramatically improve.
