Vaporio
Capital Outlook, Revision #2. RoxHQ
(need a better name, we can't name a whole city after some group, even if they were the first here...)
Demographics
We shall advocate for equality of opportunity for all New Souls arriving here. We need all the hands we can to survive out here, and to be picky about who is allowed to help or not would be utterly stupid.
Government
The Rox Guild will be in charge of most rules, acting as a sort of Inner Circle. However, once we expand our operations to about a thousand souls, we will consider an additional Outer Circle, which advises the Rox and take smaller matters off their hands. The first draft of size for this council shall be set to 100 members.
Defences
Due to the current high rate of beastial invasions, resources are advised to be put into high defences. We've encountered only minor mutations in this area, so walls with a maximum hight of 10 meters are sufficient. They are to be armed with steam-powered cannons, both with and without magical attributes. Tranquilizing Ammo is to be supplied to the Beastiarians in addition to lethalaties. Each tower is supplied a Warder, so the invading fog is repelled. These Warders do not need to be on standby all the time, since they are few in numbers.
Industry & Trade
For the first draft of the city, we don't need our focus on trade, since it will be the first city to ever be built in Ignitas. Though with expanding territory, we expect RoxHQ (or how I would like to call it, Vaporio) to have high demand for ressource import, and be in high demand of artifact and workforce export.
Infrastructure
Vaporio will be the center of Innovation. All the currently known scientific advancements and all those to come will be applied here. We expect a brassen city full of strange constructs, automation, infused with magic, maybe even flying airships, illuminating the now foggy sky.
Guilds and Factions
Like every future semi-large settlement, we encourage the establishment of the following guilds:
Rox Guild
The main guild that focuses all their time on collecting the data found by the Soulventures, researching and building new inventions. Here is also where the founders and first inhabitants of Ignitas will reside.Warders Guild
To train more Warders, and in turn build more Soulventures for future expeditions.Beastiarians Guild
New territory is nothing without the uncovered secrets they bring with them. We need more Beastiarians personell that can deal with any creature the Soulventure come across.Botanist Guild
Nature is not complete without Flora. The strange properties of the nature do not stop with the beasts, so we will most likely also need a lot of Botanists.Slaughterers Guild
Like in the Old World, we need those that we can depend on in any hot situation. Slaughterers are needed less though, since their nature lies in mindless destruction.Soulweavers Guild
Without brain there is no gain. The Soulweavers, depending on their path, will be majoring in damage additionals, supportive healing or buffs, or just pure navigation and research.Points of interest
The main buildings that are already confirmed to be built are the following:
Passage to the New World - Which is a massive entrance hall surrounding The Stream
The Rox Guild - they will have the biggest building of Vaporio, with different sections and research facilities. Anything a resident can ever need will at least be mentioned in here.
Climate
The currently wet and cold world we live in will soon be warm and cozy. With the construction of this city, we want to bring a sense of safety and peace to the people that end up here. The steam-powered nature of the Rox Guilds constructs and their heat-discharging nature, it is sure to be a rather dry and warm climate to live in.
What is yet unknown fuels what lies hidden in tomorrow.
