  • run into Vudae, who is pleading for help. Apparently, there is some sort of monster destroying the forest. You abandon your task and follow him to the Saiyannor village.
  • Tribe chief formally asks you for assistance, gifts you a Kairothian quarterstaff as both a gift and a means to fight the monster
  • Follow Vudae through forest. Path is blocked, have to go through temple
  • Arrive at boss. It isn't a monster at all, but some sort of flamethrower tank, a deforester tank.
  • Destroy tank
  • Raphael Vudae along with several witnessing Kairothians celebrate the destruction of the deforester tank. However, a team of Celestial soldiers interrupt their celebration. After a brief scuffle, Ulefric Genome arrives and kills several Celestials with his sniper rifle.
  • Ulefric tells Raphael that there were strange radio signals picked up by the radio tower shortly after being repaired, which matched the patterns of Celestial radio transmissions. When he saw the smoke coming from the forest, he knew that it had to be a Celestial invasion and that he needed to assist. He tells Raphael to make sure that the Celestial soldiers are dead.
  • Tasked with eliminating the final straggler, Raphael discovers the unconscious Fay Ultin, the surviving Celestial within the squadron that attacked them. He removes her helmet so that he can more easily shoot her in the head. But after seeing her face, he finds himself unable to follow through with his mission. Unable to bring himself to kill her, he instead elects to spare her life, and treat her wounds as best as he can.
  • Despite his best efforts, Fay passes in and out of consciousness, and appears to be struggling to breathe. She has developed a case of Dry Gill, and will die in minutes without water. Raphael carries her unconscious body to the pond and releases her into the water, saving her life.
  • Fay is left conflicted about the encounter. It was because of humans that two of her beloved comrades died, yet it was also because of a human that she still lived
  • Raphael lies to Ulefric Genome about what happened, saying that he successfully eliminated the target. He brings her helmet back as "proof". This pleases Ulefric Genome. They return to the village. On the way, Ulefric says that they're gonna have to leave Kairothia. It may be dangerous to use interstellar travel due to the Celestial Empire, but the longer they stay the more likely they will die.
  • Raphael doesn't like the idea of abandoning he Kairothians against the threat of the Celestial Empire.
