Halfling
Halflings are a race found primarily in southern Khalon. Native to the Disputed Lands, halflings in recent years have been divided between those who desire to be a part of Morenthyr and those who want independence.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Halflings, along with gnomes, are small in comparison with the members of most other races. In many ways, halflings resemble small humans and usually have the same proportions as the typical human adult. Most halflings have dark hair and eyes, regardless of their skin complexion which, although commonly ruddy in hue, has a similar range to humans.
Most male halflings are incapable of growing true beards, though many had long sideburns. Halfling hairstyles are often complex, with strands woven together or braided. Although halflings have an affinity for collecting valuables, they do not prefer to wear these on their person, instead preferring more comfortable clothing.
Growth Rate & Stages
Halflings have lifespans comparable with, but slightly longer than, humans. A halfling is typically considered an adult in their early twenties and some live into their 130s. Halflings age similarly to humans, becoming more wrinkled and getting gray hair as they enter old age.

History
Halflings have been found on Khalon for millennia, with some even considering them a native race. However, some of the most ancient records in Thegh Darom mention the arrival of 'small beings, like dwarves or gnomes but with hairy feet.' Halflings have traditionally lived in what now is the Disputed Lands, growing crops and living a sedentary lifestyle.
