Thumjir

The Wrathful Warrior

Thumjir, son of Geset and Brandobar, is the god of strength and war. A later addition to the Old Ones pantheon, it is thought he began to be worshiped in Wiveria during the legendary Everlasting War. Worship of him decreased greatly in the centuries following humanity's arrival in Khalon. However, a revival occurred during the Elven Conquest before dying out completely.

Origins

Edite had left her brothers to walk among man when an argument arose between them on the nature of war. Discussing the merits of guerrilla warfare led to a screaming match that could be heard across the Dreipalast. Raging for days, the argument came to a peak when suddenly, a baby spontaneously appeared. Stunned, Geset and Brandobar took responsibility for the child, naming him Thumjir.

Pre-Elven Era

Worship of Thumjir was prevalent in the first few centuries after humans arrived in Khalon. However, as humans began to settle down and live more peaceful agrarian lifestyles, his followers dwindled. While small sects of soldiers would continue to worship Thumjir, few temples were erected to him.

Elven Conquest

This changed during the Elven Conquest, upon which the relentless Thyrian push against humanity led many to return to Thumjir. A major temple was constructed in modern-day Pella's Wish, but did little to change the tide of the war. His worship was quickly stamped out by Morenthyr, who feared any sort of insurrection.

Post-Elven Era

In the Trelian revival, worship of Thumjir is again growing. Many who serve in the Trelian military undergo his rites and pray to him before battle. Old Ones followers have even convinced local authorities in Pella's Wish to rebuild his temple.
