Elven Conquest
The Elven Conquest was a seminal event in Khalonian history, drastically changing the political situation of the continent. Over the course of a century, Thyrian elves conquered vast swathes of land, bringing most of Khalon under Morenthyr's control. This conquest led to gnomes being displaced from their ancestral homelands while most humans became enslaved.
The Conflict
Prelude
Expanding from the southern reaches of Khalon, Morenthyr completely absorbed the Disputed Lands through subterfuge and diplomacy by 300. Bordering the human territories of central Khalon, limited trade lasted for a century until the Thyrian leadership, perhaps being influenced by Iorath, launched a massive assault north.
Outcome
Aftermath
The Elven Conquest has shaped the rest of Khalonian history. Elvish became the lingua franca of the continent, eventually displacing Old Human and Hin. The worship of Iorath, previously considered a minor god among the Seldarine, became widespread, with Iorath being heavily worshiped across Morenthyr until the end of the Great Revolt.
