Caravaneer Mutual Defense League
"Let me tell you a little story. There was a tiny, out of the way town. It wasn't much different than yours, come to think of it. Anyway, they detained a few caravans there, demanding exorbitant taxes, much like you yourself are doing. Do you know what happened to that little town? Word got out, we caravaneers talked to each other, and no caravans ever went to that town again. Ever heard of Wildebee? That's because a little famine hit and killed them all, and nobody noticed."
~Abide Baht Mig, Caravaneer
Structure
The grandmaster of the guild is known as the Horseman. The caravaneers speak to each other at various stops, and news travels as fast as trade throughout Seaudyr. They share warnings of bandit and monster activity, and they retaliate collectively against towns that make a habit of abusing caravans.
Public Agenda
The guild (as its official name implies) professes to be a mutual defense league for caravans traveling the dangerous roads.

History
The First Horseman rose to power in 194, riding from town to town and organizing guard forces for various caravans. This mysterious figure eventually began simply taking regular dues and took on the more broad duties of looking after the caravans. He performed this function so well that few teamsters remained independent, as the dues were always reasonable and the benefits were a bargain.
