Bounty Hunter's Lodge
"Hey kid, you looking for adventure? I've got three posts on the board right now; Got one for a bandit supposed to be in the Foothills somewhere, that one pays nice from Krezzym. There's a good one looking for bear's gallbladder for Chingis but... I'm pretty sure that one's for her mead and I drink that so I kinda hope that one doesn't get taken up for a while. Worst comes to worst if you're really hurting for coin Foxhollow Farm needs someone to go clear out some rats again. Won't be very exciting but I hear that's how all the grand adventures usually start..."
~Earmey Chestthorne, Bawler of Alcedene
Structure
The Bounty Hunter's Lodges themselves are a line of six defensive motte-and-bailey style castle on the border of the elf forests. From one of these, the Baron oversees the six core mercenary bands that form the bulk of the mercenary bands of Maecodia.
Of all the guildmasters, the Baron is the least anonymous. He wears distinctive red armor and makes public appearances somewhat regularly, though his actual name and his face are unknown.
Public Agenda
The official line is that the Lodge exists to bring affordable yet professional protection to all corners of society in a very dangerous world.
The reality is that Plutarchs rarely hurt for mercenary support, and unaffiliated turniptails tend to have to settle for scraps.

History
The Lodge was officially founded in 611 after the various mercenary outfits aided Maecodia in turning back the Wild Hunt. They were given a line of defensive fortifications between the Confederation and Doroinir Nimloth. Initially, these mercenaries struggled to find cohesion, but the leader of the Red Yawning brought them all under heel by Midwinter and declared himself the Baron.
The Baron sent out the first wave of bawlers, setting the precedent for the operation of the lodge.
