Hanako 39: "Suzume, Part I"

General Summary

Hanako learns from her uncle Morotada regarding matters of state; Hanako shares tactical information regarding the Dark One's forces. After meeting with Suzume, Hanako enjoys swapping outfits with her and comforts her regarding dark rumors. Following a gut instinct, Hanako finds Furukawa Tomio, one of Suzume's guardsman, acting suspicious; he confesses to planting compromising items in Suzume's chambers under duress from servants of the Dark One.
Hanzo has him arrested at once, although promising leniency due to a favorable service record, while Hanako tracks down his son Kin Shiraishi, with the help of Solana and Toshiaki, and hands him over to Shinobu for safekeeping. Furukawa Tomio's blackmailer is not found.
After heading to Shinobu's estate, the two of them reconnect. After lunch, Hanako hangs out with Isamu, preparing him for an archery contest in the evening hosted by Kazuyuki. After lengthy hijinks, the contest begins, with Isamu defeating Subaru Akimoto, Viseri Thedan, Morotada Fujiwara, and Ella Thedan on his way to victory. Isamu, Hanako, and Sora retreat to Teikyou to celebrate.
