Hanako Fujiwara (藤原花子)
Lord of Kamuishi Hanako Fujiwara
Hanako Fujiwara is the Lord of Kamuishi and an imperial concubine to Emperor Kazuyuki Anzai of the Shou Empire. She is a member of the main branch of the Fujiwara Dynasty.
Scandal and Exile
Interested in martial arts from a relatively young age, Hanako did not grow up to be a traditional Shou noblewoman. When Hanzo Fujiwara arranged a marriage between Hanako and Hiroji Yamato, Hanako responded by indiscreetly seducing her cousin and heir to the throne Kazuyuki Anzai, causing a political scandal amongst the Five Dynasties of the Shou Empire. Subsequently, her betrothal was broken, and she went into political exile for a time.Politics
Upon returning to the Shou Empire, rumors of Hanako and Kazuyuki's continued involvement quickly became prominent in the Shou court thanks to them being found together after an attack by Ransley Nikolic. Hanako gained a reputation for promiscuity due to a high-profile fling with Licina Laeneus. Hanako later garnered fear by storming Fumihiro Yamato's estate in Seito with the assistance of Fujiwara redcloaks. Finding probable evidence regarding Fumihiro's involvement in the assassination of Daichi Anzai, Hanako traveled to Tokuyama in April of 1198 and killed him during the sacking of the city by the Takeda Dynasty. Returning to Teikyou, Hanako assisted in the slaying of Deagon during the Battle of Kōga Bay, growing rumors of her increasing martial prowess. Soon after, newly crowned Emperor Kazuyuki Anzai announced Hanako's concubinage. After helping to lead the coup that put Viseri Thedan on the throne of the Sultanate of Regnum Solas and end the Solite-Shou War of 1198, Hanako was rewarded with the newly aquired lordship of Kamuishi.
