Subaru Akimoto is member of the main branch of the Akimoto Dynasty and is the Lord of Akishima and Master of Coin on the Royal Council of the Shou Empire. He is married to Kana Akimoto.

Politics

Subaru is the de facto leader of the Akimoto Dynasty, and is the most powerful figure in the northern Shou Empire. His dominion extends to control of the Empire of Velrihm through the Mithril Company, a dwarven mercenary company.
Subaru is suspected in the failed coup attempt made by Tyni Thedan to claim the Sultanate of Regnum Solas.

Debt

Subaru is 250,000 gold in debt to Shinobu Yamato, his sister-in-law, a remnant of a debt with Fumihiro Yamato. However, Subaru has largely refused to pay, only relenquishing a sum of 50,000 after making an agreement with Marina Zinyra.
