Materia 40: "A Touch of Evil"
General Summary
Meeting with Kazuyuki, Akari, Shinobu, and Hanzo, the party plans the finishing touches of a coup in Erenthas. Marina Zinyra receives a message from her master Titivilus. Requisitioning items for their effort, they run into Isamu. Returning to Erenthas, the party speaks to Viseri and Myriell to confirm their plans, and to Tyni to utilize his spies.
In Erenthas, the party plans Jun inside the palace with Tyni's help. Learning that the last of Aiwin's clones are in Obsidian Citadel in the Abyss, the party relies on Fredrika and Marius to get them there. After gaining access to the citadel with a number of other suspicious figures, the party stumbles into a meeting with the Dark One, presided over by Nazar and Medora. The Dark One presents the party with one last chance for servitude, and Mari negotates with him, tentatively offering her mother's soul in exchange for the destruction of Aiwin's clones, much to her horror as she reveals herself from the crowd. After calling for a distraction from Marius and luring the Dark One's avatar to show the party Aiwin's clones, a battle ensues.
