Bris Mountains

Located northwest of Central Människar, the Bris are a mountain range that delineates the division between the North and Central Regions of the continent, also working as a natural border between Treria and Vevia, both nations hostile to one another. Albeit ranked low or average in terms of height, the Bris are very difficult to navigate through due to the twisted and sinuous nature of the peaks, which are often coated by a thick fog, making them nearly impossible to be crossed by large groups of people.

The Bris are also considered a historical region of great importance, due to the large amount of ancient structures, ruins and burial sites that date to the first few thousand years of Mankind's history. Not only, but many Engelian † and Ellardian landmarks and structures can be found around and even deep into the range, attracting many historians and explorers from the continent.

However, the Crown of Vevia, the Vaults of Bratislen and the Red Citadel all discourage ventures into the mountains, as the range holds countless dangers that go beyond mere survival against the elements, but the peaks are swarming with unholy and cursed beings, such as wraiths, ghouls, hags, vampires and more. Those that are brave and hardy enough to travel and survive the adventure through the mountains often return home with high regards and recognition from their betters.

Due to it's treacherous nature, no settlements or active military outposts exist in the mountains, and thus, ownership of the region is contested between the bordering nations. As of 1025, maesters and cartographers from all around the world recognize the range as Thortyan territory, as it once belonged to the Empire's total extension.

There are no dwarven cities in the range.
