Days 1 - 15 of Fourth Moon, 408 AC
General Summary
Death of Lord Dayne, Continued
House Vyrwel | TadashiHouse Vyrwel claims House Dayne, Torrent Keep, and Sandstone. House Costayne | sandman
Vyrwel, your claim will not be respected. I had to kill the last Lord Blackmont. Please don't make me do it twice. House Vyrwel | Tadashi
You had to kill the last Lord, but it was out of disrespect. House Costayne | sandman
I had to kill the last Blackmont over the same claim, yes. Both times over vacant lands. Now I am speaking to House Dalt on how they wish to proceed for it is their bannerman's lands to divide as they wish. Though I have been supporting them, I would ask my in-laws to be allowed to have Torrent Keep and I be allowed House Dayne of Starfall for clearing the 5k men there. House Vyrwel | Tadashi
I can manage those 5k men there too you know. Your interference isn’t necessary or needed. House Oakheart | Jack Handy
I find it disturbing that the Paramount of the Reach is threatening fellow Lords and publicly. House Costayne | sandman
And you still may have that chance, but you don't just get to claim it outright. You are not my bannerman, nor Dorne’s. I am not even sure if you bent the knee to the crown. And even if you did, you have no authority to just claim things and think no one will challenge you over the claims. I entered House Dayne of Starfall first and so your claim is less than my own. But above my claim even is his High Lord’s. So Lemonwood will make the call on claims. My claims are a request for service rendered. Did you assist him in his war? Lord Jack, it is not disturbing at all. Many wars have transpired over land disputes. It is not a threat, only a statement of facts. He has no authority to claim anything without the blessing of the House Dalt, end of story. I at least have humbly asked for the lands I want to claim rather than just think they are mine because I reached them first. It was none other than Jackson Dalt, The Salt Prince of Dorne, who came asking why my bannerman is claiming all HIS bannerman's lands. Upon readying, I found out what he meant and explained it's not even my bannerman. To which I have now begun negotiations publicly rather than hide anything privately for he said she said bullshit. I have always been fair, honest, and upfront. Even here I have been helping the salt prince and if he denies my claims and wishes to keep them all himself or give some to his in laws I understand and will still support his cause. That is his right and I respect it. But allowing Blackmont to just claim it and not dispute it will not happen. House Oakheart | Jack Handy
House Vyrwel is a Reach Lord, like both of us and you did in fact threaten him by stating the fact that you killed his ancestors and would kill him as well over a land dispute. Yes many wars have been fought over it but as the Hand of the Queen and in a time when I thought we would be more civil, I am disturbed by your reaction to this situation. It is beneath the Hand of the Queen. House Swann | PatMagroyn
The Black Swan, hearing talk of kinslaying in Whitewalls, takes his leave. The Riverlands appears to soon become as restless a place as the North or Dorne it seems. The one upside in his travels is that he did meet a Saltmen merchant, who traded with a Tyroshi captain, who’s brother in law was a Volantis tradesmen, who paid a Qarthisn warlock, who entertained with a Yi Ti adventurer, that taught him a new form of prose: the haiku.
“I had a great tripHouse Costayne | sandman
Entertained so many venues
But missed the Vance wake”
Lord Jack, you could be right, he might be a Reach Lord. But he owns more Dornish lands than he does the Reach, yet Blackmont is sworn to no one. Either way, whether he is sworn or not, he has no authority to just claim the lands of House Dalt’s dead bannerman. Him being a Reach Lord does NOT strengthen his claim to the lands either.
Northern Clusterfuck, Continued
House Oakheart | Jack HandyWhat has happened with the Queen's Northern Army?? Iron Bank of Braavos | {N.W.}[L.C.]DUTCHGAMER
Fucking northern rebellion. House Swann | PatMagroyn
According to my spy network: The Northern Civil War was House Stark, House Cerwyn, House Flint of Flint's Finger, and Crannogmen against House Orkwood, House Umber, and shockingly House Pryor. But with Queen's Crown siding with House Stark (the True North), those siding with House Orkmont (the New North) may be in royal breach. House Ryswell | Eddy
Has Crannogmen been fighting? I would add that House Pryor's action isn’t shocking. He’s not a Northlord and he’s a fucking cowardly traitor to boot. It’s absolutely predictable he’d join whoever he thought was the bandwagon winner. House Swann | PatMagroyn
I don’t know if it was on House Banefort‘s orders, but the Crannogmen attacked Barrowmarsh. House Oakheart | Jack Handy
If my maester is correct, House Banefort and House Orkwood are joined by marriage. House Crowl | Titus Breakwater
Seeing as the Queen rides with us to battle against the traitor Umbers, House Crowl joins the Civil War to pillage Last Heart. House Ryswell | Eddy
The true Lords of the North stand together. The Queen has shown true leadership in standing for justice. House Oakheart | Jack Handy
War in the Stepstones Claims and now civil unrest in the North has turned into total war... House Oakheart does not know what to make of it all or who to support... obviously the Queen but the battle lines and who is fighting who seems so unclear... House Ryswell | Eddy
It’s essentially the foreign invaders plus Lord Umber against all other Northlords and the Queen. House Oakheart | Jack Handy
So House Banefort, House Orkwood, and House Umber are in open rebellion against The Iron Throne, who is now supporting House Stark? Just to be clear. The confusion in the Realm is heavy from the amount of ravens I got. House Crowl | Titus Breakwater
Indeed, Ser Ryswell. House Bracken | Jamhalo
House Bracken stands with the Queen. Regardless of anything, it is clear that the North needs a strong Lord Paramount & Warden upon the conclusion of this conflict. Perhaps the mantle should be returned to Winterfell. It is also hard to say who is currently in open rebellion, but I do not believe any parties involved have made any firm statement against the Crown. House Oakheart | Jack Handy
So it appears that the conflict is regional to the North but the Royal armies are marching south to intervene. I second House Bracken and the words of Lord Otho, the North should be under the command of House Stark. House Ryswell | Eddy
Yes to be clear, none of the hostiles have made clear statements of rebellion. The queen has nevertheless DECLARED some of them rebels. Also Lord Pryor would be included with Umber, Orkwood, and Banefort. House Stark | John Of Noobslayers
Deception and betrayal run rampant in the North. It is difficult to tell friend from foe these days. However recent developments only prove the righteousness of my cause and now there are reports that Her Majesty herself has attacked the treacherous Lord Umber. It is strange to think that I have been criticized for my lack of transparency and refusal to engage in diplomacy and yet the My lands are under siege and the North is embroiled in a fully blown civil war without a single declaration of war. Deception is the tool of the cowardly and only those who fight with me have been forthright with their intentions. Who can stand by the cowardice of Lords Umber Pryor and Orkwood, who attack without warning cause or reason? They hide behind false promises and fake smiles, they proclaim you friend while they plunge a knife into your back. My cause is righteous and my enemies break every law known to man. The iron throne stands with Winterfell. Death to the enemies of the North! Free City of Pentos | woolhammer (was and is woolhammer)
It’s good to see honor prevail in the north. House Ryswell | Eddy
I begin to think the Magister of Pentos is addled... He rails against Stark like a frothing madman and then suddenly supports the queen bringing honor by punishing Stark's enemies?! House Stark | John Of Noobslayers
Just so the realm is aware of what sort of man lord Pryor is, he agreed to combat exercises along our border, which went well for a little bit, until he began killing my men and ignoring my ravens. Now he has sent men into House Stark itself which was never part of our deal and he has ignored all my ravens since. It's true he has invaded with very few men so I hope this was a mere miscommunication which can be resolved, but somehow I wonder if it's possible. To be clear Pryor previously told me he supported me in this both in private and public.
Ravens Gone Missing
House Vance | DezzoHaving received word and instruction from the Brackens of Stone Hedge, House Vance is limited in its ability to respond, now that Vicky Vance, masquerading as Lord of Hornvale with the support of his bride's house, House Butterwell of Whitewalls. Half of House Vance's banners fail to respond to orders from the Wayfarer's Rest. A concerning development. House Swann | PatMagroyn
A traveling bard just happened to hear some bannermen in Whitewalls speak aloud that they couldn’t wait to march on Wayfarer's Rest. One can only imagine a myriad of reasons why Vicky Vance would order their men to do so.
Westerlands Realty
