Gods are by definition the strongest of their realms ut they are neither the strongest nor unstoppable. If they ever return to the material realm of Midranor we will once again kill them and then their world. We have done it once and we can do it again.

What makes a god is not strength or the numer of followers. The only thing that matters is if they control a realm. There can only be as many gods as there are realms and once a realm falls so does the number of Gods. So far 5 realms have fallen with their gods and 11 gods remain. We do however still have realms without a god, perhaps we will see the rise of new gods or those with multiple realms.

When people commonly refer to gods or deities, it is not some unknown entity or indivividual but a group of creatures possessing a common trait. They are rulers of dimension. This is not through force or politics but by possessing the soul of the dimension and having the ability to reshape it in their image. Although there are groups worshiping the gods, it has less to do with the gods reciving power and instead serves as a connectio for their soul to travel when their mortal body dies.
