Julia Longvine
You’ve never met a more suave halfling in Eronia Minor than Julia Longmire. She hails from Greenest as a small-time wine Merchant. She never really cared for the finer things and isn’t particularly fond of her home of Greenest. Though the area is booming with halfling life, she’s unpatriotic towards her home and is always referring to the place as a “thief-ridden mess.”
She arrived in Mythrite just a few weeks after the word got out about the new town of opportunity. She was sure to let the winter die down first before attempting to transport her grapevines. While other merchants were focused on the idea of turning a profit, Julia was more interested in the reason the place was discovered: the mithril. With mithril chunks as the drainage rocks in the soil of her grapevines, she was certain she could create a wine that made you feel solid as steel. Of course, the feeling would just be a feeling. She always did get a kick out of taunting the drunkards around her shop to perform feats they couldn’t possibly accomplish in their state.
She owns a small, rather run-down wine shop with a door that humans and elves can barely fit through on the edge of Eronia Minor and The Halberd where she sells her signature wine made from mithril-treated grapes. Albeit the processing of the hardened grapes is tasking, the output is incomparable. Everything is made in-house from the corks to the wine. She learned to break down the mithril to remove impurities which she then turned to wine containers while the mithril went right back into the dirt under the grapes. At this point, the only thing keeping her from being wealthy is her hatred of the wealthy. She doesn’t believe anyone needs that much money and anyone who has it is only seeking to diminish those that do not. She is constantly trying to keep out the likes of Tanner Charsage and his wealthy elf friends, who would do anything to get their hands on the recipe for her wine to sell for themselves.
She has no family except a younger sister who works on the docks as a charter keeper, tending to the shipments to and from Greenest. They aren’t particularly fond of one another, her sister being a common thief from Greenest and likely stealing from the shipments that go in and out of Mythrite. Julia wishes there was a more formal guard to keep the thieves, like her sister and Tanner’s friends, in check. She lives in her shop in the backroom in Eronia Minor and rarely visits the rest of Mythrite. She prefers to complete her errands by trading with her patrons that come into her shop rather than having them pay her with currency. Her product is too dear to her to leave on its own with that Tanner Charsage always watching. While she doesn’t care for the profits, she understands losing the recipe would mean the end of her time in Mythrite.
