Daihl MacGregor

Lord Daihl MacGregor

Daihl is a plump middle-aged minor Lord with no property who found himself in attendance at the ceremony meant to marry Maximillian D'arlington to Lysandrea Isillonthe. During a picnicked tea, he revealed to Ilbryen that he attended the wedding in hopes to find out more about the Half-Orc Lillian D'arlington, but ultimately discovered that she was a bit too refined in noble culture to help with his situation. His wife, Bronna MacGregor, passed a while back, leaving him to raise their daughter, Dhowgok MacGregor, alone. As his daughter has gotten older, he finds it difficult to fully explain and guide her through her heritage. He asked Ilbryen if their group would be willing to escort him and his half-orc daughter to meet her Orc aunts in the hope that they would be able to help her understand her heritage and culture.   Daihl and Dhowgok met with the party at the League headquarters and asked for their help escorting them to Bar Rorkred where Dhowgok's aunts, Anime, Arati, and Tumizar resided. There they discovered that Dhowgok and her mother were a direct lineage of Balor of the Evil Eye, who was destined to only be slain by one of his own blood. Bar Rorkred had been using their village as breeding stock to try to keep Balor's bloodline intact and Dhowgok was one of the most pure of lineage, with Bronna being the only of the four sisters who was not infertile due to inbreeding.   Upon discovering this, Daihl took Dhowgok away from the village, remaining with the party. Upon their return to the League, they found that Eastbridge was taken over by Tertius' cousin, Harrison Garrington. As the party mustered to free Eastbridge, the League guildhall was attacked by Ydarion the Night Cutter and kobold sympathizers. While the dragon left after causing destruction, Daihl was slain by the dragon.   Ilbryen was able to raise Daihl from the dead, and he and Dhowgok have remained in the League ever since.
