Holy Forest
The temperate forest in the central region of Morteron. To the west are the White Hills, Blackland Moutains and Inverno river. To the east is the Easter River and Wild Lands. To the north is the Savage Forest and To the south is Winters Cove. It has currently ruled by the Gregori family out of the capital city of Varden
Geography
Nested betweene the Invero and Easter river, the holy forest is a large temperate forest in the central region of Morteron. This forest expierences and changes with all the season equally. THe majority of broadleaf trees shed leaves in the cold winter months, bloom in the spring, thrive in the warm summers and fall back in the cool autumns.
Its name is derived from its realtive peaceful appearance. The region was orginally settled by nature friendly cultures who sought peace and dipolmacy before war. Something easily done with boutiful natural resources such as food, water and lumber. However the dense forest helps to hide its deeper conflicts from untrained eyes and ears
Ecosystem Cycles
Winters are cold wind is easily broken among the tree branches. Some snow does fall in the more southern regions. Spring is warm and is higlighted by the beautiful mass bloss of trees.. Summer features Hot temperature and thunderstorms however the forest does remain well shaded under the broadfleaf trees. The Fall features the return of colder tempratures and the changing of the leaves to various red, oranged, yellows and browns.

Being a naviagable forest the holy forest has an abundance of lumber and pumber relate projects. THey are also rich in various plant derived products such as medicine and fruit harvests. THey also have a diverse wildflife that provide and abundance of animals and animal derived productes
History
The highly temporal climate changes has favors organized peoples that understand the importance to work with nature. Thus this regions is known to foster complex cultures that revere nature and tend to mold to fit within the nature rather than tame it. Also the abundance of living resources and absence of many natural dangers allows for many of these culture to favor peace and diplomacy. Thus the region is not know for much internal wars and complex. Even when in comes to external forces peoples of this regions are will to submit and comprimise if it means their forest stays safe. However this does not mean that the culures of the holy forest are weak. Threaten their forest and they will make it seem like you are facing the wrath of nature itself.
