Descal
Descal is major dimensional plane in which no magic functions, and is rarely traveled to for this reason. Though planar traveling magic allows travel to this plane, such spells do not function once in the plane. It manifests as a vast array of floating islands, complete with vegetation, and some local wildlife - mostly birds and insects.
In addition to the magic deadening effect of the plane, time passes much slower in Descal than other planes. To be trapped in Descal for a year could mean several decades elsewhere.
Geography & Fauna
Large floating islands drift across the sky, topped with hearty trees and densely grown vegetation. Over time, some of the islands of Descal have become attached to others, forming clumps of oddly shaped connected islands tied together with vines and trees. Crude bridges and leftover ropes of past inhabitants still remain on some. Descal has numerous avian species. Some seem to be natives from other planes released here, while others are unique to the plane. Wild fruits, berries, and other edibles foods can be found throughout, along with a healthy population of insects and small mammals - very few creatures on the plane are larger than the average humanoid. Though it would be a paradise for spirits of the air and wind, most magical creatures find their time on Descal sickening at best - and in worst cases, lethal.
