High Priestess of Vitaria
The most powerful position within the Church of Vitaria, a member of the High Council and the High Ecclesiarchs, the High Priestess of Vitaria commands the largest pool of influence and power in the Empire, with the sole exception of the Emperor himself. The position of High Priestess is, as with all other High Ecclesiarchs, based around politics, voting, bureaucracy, and overseeing the massive organization under them. The High Priestess is also in charge of the Cathedral of Vitaria in Exelnar, though the running of it are taken care of by other Archpriestesses that reside there.
Requirements
The choosing of the next High Priestess is a process shrouded in mystery, as the Church of Vitaria have maintained that the High Priestess is elected by the will of the people of the Empire, and Vitaria herself. All that is commonly known about it is that the Archpriestess chosen to be the High Priestess is usually the most politically savvy and cunning.
Appointment
The appointment is done by the Emperor himself in a large feast in Exelnar, where the news are spread through the city and food is prepared for all to feast, or at least so the town criers say it will be.
