Merfolk

One of the Elder Races created by Calamity in the 2nd Age, Merfolk were tasked with keeping artifacts and secrets from the previous age hidden away.
Amphibious denizens of the Seven Seas, there is tremendous variety among the members of the Coral Conclave; traditional Mermaids/Mermen, Tritons, Hominids (Crabfolk), Sharkin, Tortles, Cephalids (Squidfolk), etc. "Merfolk" is a catch-all term used by Landfolk who can't be bothered to learn about other cultures. The Mermaids & Mermen are considered the oldest among the many species of Merfolk, bearing the strongest resemblance to Orazca, the first Merfolk.
