Dark Space contains several endgame
Activities for players to participate in. Either special circumstances or items are needed to access them, each with a different method.
Abyssal Incursion
Abyssal Incursions are high-risk, high-reward missions to explore regions of
Dark Space. These expeditions involve facing swarms of
Void Beasts, navigating hazardous terrain, and uncovering hidden treasures. Successful incursions yield
exotic resources.
Spectral Hunt
Spectral Hunts are special quests that task players with tracking down particularly elusive and powerful
Void Beasts that roam the ethereal planes. These creatures possess distinct abilities and strengths, requiring unique approaches to overcome them. Defeating these spectral beings grants access to rare
Crafting materials.
Shadow Infiltration
Shadow Infiltrations are particularly chaotic events where players must enter
Dark Space to disrupt enemy incursion efforts. Here, they will face off against
Void Beasts while locating enemy forces that are attempting to take resources from the realm. Once the enemy operation has been located, the extraction process needs to be disrupted. This involves a combination of sabotaging machinery and repelling their defensive troops. Once the extraction equipment has been disabled, the commander of the incursion will appear. Players must finally defeat the operation
commander, break through any remaining forces, and
exfiltrate back into reality.
Successful completion of Shadow Infiltration rewards players with valuable resources salvaged from the enemy faction's operation.
Dimensional Anomalies
Dimensional Anomalies are unpredictable cracks in spacetime that allow
Dark Space to seep into reality. To close these rifts, players must venture into the anomaly and complete a series of increasingly difficult steps. Once an anomaly is located, several anchor points surrounding the rift must be activated by defeating the
Void Beasts guarding them. Once they are activated, they must be defended against waves of aggressive foes while they attune to the rift to begin the sealing process. After the anchors have fully attuned, players need to exit Dark Space back into reality where they will complete the process of closing the rift. Successfully completing these events boost reputation and reward valuable resources.
Ascendant Towers
The Ascendant Towers are fortress-like structures found within the most dangerous areas of Dark Space, shrouded in mystery and filled with rewards. These colossal monoliths serve as the ultimate endgame challenge for those who dare venture inside them.
The Towers are so massive, they defy the known laws of physics. They pulsate with potent, arcane energy, visible as strange, ethereal auras. Inside are sprawling mazes of intricate and perplexing architecture. The structures twist and turn in an ever-shifting labyrinth. By ascending the Towers, the difficulty of their trials become greater as do the rewards. They are fiercely defended by
Sentinels,
Lanterns, and
Void Beasts. These guardians are loyal protectors of the Tower's secrets and will stop at nothing to repel intruders. Each Sentinel possesses unique abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, testing the mettle of those who seek to conquer the spires.
Overcoming the challenges of the Ascendant Towers and reaching their summit awards some of the most pinnacle rewards in all of NEXUS.
