Symmetry

Symmetry establishes a one-to-one connection between the human and their Guardian Frame exosuit, allowing the pilot to control all the onboard systems. Lightkeepers can use their MIND Link implant to perform actions most humans could not. Lightkeepers are skilled in physical Combat, and the MIND Link enhances their Abilities and allows them to control every aspect of the complex weapons platform.   Stress has a negative effect on Symmetry and causes a disruption of this link. It is extremely important to maintain MIND Link Symmetry at all times as the effects of mental interference can be fatal.

Interference

Symmetry is the character's connection from their brain to their neural MIND Link implant. The connection must remain stable for them to function. The Symmetry meter is a visual representation of a player's susceptibility to mental damage caused by Interference. Maintaining Symmetry could mean the difference between life and death. MIND Link degeneration occurs when Interference is applied to a character which can cause psychosis and severe brain damage.   If Symmetry is completely disrupted by Interference, the neural link will be lost resulting in death.   Neural Symmetry is tracked with an on-screen meter. The lower the meter, the more symptomatic the player becomes. Once specific thresholds are reached, the player will begin to experience numerous negative effects. If the meter becomes completely exhausted, the player loses connection to their own mind and dies.   MIND Link Symmetry degradation is caused from taking damage from enemy attacks that cause Interference, certain items and modifications, or other factors such as illicit MIND Link Upgrades themselves.   Too much Interference can cause Disrupted or Desynchronized statuses for the player.

Symmetry Regeneration

The Symmetry meter naturally and slowly regenerates over time, the speed of which can be increased with Attributes, Skills, Abilities, items, and more. Symmetry regeneration does not start until the player has been out of combat and not received damage for at least 10 seconds. The speed at which Symmetry is lost can be reduced by using abilities or items that affect Symmetry.   Base Symmetry regeneration is 1% per second.
