Weapon Mod Types

Players can find, craft, and buy various Mods to attach to their Weapons and Armor to give each item unique stats and skills. Generally, the higher an item's rarity and value, the more Mod slots it will have to install different Mods.
Like the equipment they are attached to, Mods can be lost or looted by other players if they are not Secured. Securing a piece of gear that has Mods already applied to it automatically Secures all of the attached Mods. Mods also have a Loadout Power point value which adds to a piece of gear’s overall cost. Each individual Mod will dictate what type of equipment it can be applied to.
Mods come in a variety of types that affect stats and abilities of the gear they are attached to, from improving a specific stat such as reload speed or accuracy, to increasing ability recharge rate, modifying a Weapon’s damage type or an Armor's Elemental Shields, or even granting a special Ability.
Each piece of gear can only have one copy of each Mod Type (such as two scopes or two grips).
