Mudwater

An industrial town along the banks of Mudgutter Lake in the north of the Kingdom of Light's Crest. The numerous grain mills, forges, foundries, and lumber mills that dot the edges of town leave a light coating of dust on nearly everything outside, and turn the water in the eddies and streams around town brown, giving the town its name.

Government

The Government Structure is apparently operated in three quasi-independent branches:   The Arm of the People: The Elected Mayor, currently Mayor Casran Fiddlesmith   The Arm of the King: The Regional Commander of the King's Guard, currently Commander Alban Cobcastle   The Arm of the Light: The Regional Monseignor of the Church of Vera, currently Monseignor Kalara Fin'Festra

Defences

A basic stone wall rings the town, with an east and south gate watched by the King's Guard.

Industry & Trade

The town's primary economy involves the gathering and basic processing of raw resources, primarily ore from the mines on the north side of town, as well as grains and other food products from the surrounding rural communities to the east and south. There is still a small amount of lumber collected and processed in town, but the more immediate land outside of town has largely already been processed and tilled for farming. Fishing on the lake, and gathering of spices and other more exotic goods from the swamp along the far bank make up what little other industry this region sees.

Geography

Rollings hills to the east and south of town, while to the north it's nestled up against the base of a series of jagged cliffs that rise into mountains in the distance. West of town is the @Mudgutter Lake, which forms into a river and runs south along the @King's Road.
