Hawk
(mating call of the red-tailed hawk) (a.k.a. Hawk)
Hawk is a Kenku, and the father of Penguin. His actual name is the mating call of a red-tailed hawk, but most humanoids cannot easily produce that sound, and so he is usually simply referred to as "Hawk". He and his wife Dolphin were once leaders of Penguin's Flock, before they were enslaved by Dispater. Hawk himself had conceived of a scheme to steal something from a small cult they had found hiding in a nearby cave, which they believed to be dedicated to Bhaal.
After his flock's enslavement, he spent about 18 months directly in service to Dispater doing manual labor. He was later "gifted" to his own son as a political maneuver, and therefore lived as a slave to Penguin until he rose to power in Session 27: Siege on Avernus. Hawk and his wife were granted independence after the war, and fled to live in the Elemental Plane of Water. After Ragnarok came to an end and Zerrof took over in the Elemental Plane of Water, Hawk found he was quite fond of the new ruler.
As part of an agreement between Zerrof and Penguin, Hawk and his wife Dolphin joined The Cobalt Sanctuary, and were quickly elected into leadership positions. They served with distinction throughout The Age of Coalescence, only to pass on in the year 74. He now lives in Avernus.
