Alhu

Alhu is Favus' school of psychology. Founded in 2350, it was the final school to be created. Alhu focuses on the study of the mind, and works closely with Dawa. Alhuian students study underlying conditions, brain chemistry, and work to create both potions and therapeutic methods to solve problems they uncover.

Demographics

Most students of Alhu are elves native to Favus, though students of all kinds are welcome. Wealth means nothing at Alhu as when enrolled, students must live on campus and can only bring a limited amount of objects with them. The rest is supplied by the school.

Government

Mandrake Caliope runs Alhu, and has run it for the past hundred years. She is one of the oldest Mandrakes, and calls this her retirement, since she used to be a researcher in academia, though her work is restricted and can only be accessed with special permission.

Infrastructure

Alhu students provide counciling to Favians as part of their school services, and are provided pay for this. They also work closely with Dawa to study the brain, and have several buildings set up to study anatomy.

Guilds and Factions

The school is seperated in two ways, those practicing magical healing and those practicing non magical healing, and then those who are native to Favus and those who are not, or at least those who are not able to adjust to living in Favus. While all students must pass an entrance exam to enroll, those not native to Favus find living in the swamplands difficult. Enrollment grants automatic citizenship, but dropping out disposes of that perk. Often times students who want to keep citizenship but find themselves at odds with the reality of living in Favus will also find themselves at odds with native Favians.

History

The last of the schools to be created, it was actually an off shoot of Dawa that grew to be too large for Dawa to support as part of the school, and so it became its own campus, supported by the Cypress Council, two members of which had been vocal about their thoughts on the importance of psychology as a science.
