Dawa
Dawa is Favus' school of medicine. Founded in 1775 as a small one room school house, it has grown into a sprawling campus in the preceding years. With a large student population, Dawa is well known for pushing the boundaries of science and medicine. Both magical and nonmagical healing is explored, as well as the properties of herbs and animal parts.
Demographics
Most students of Dawa are elves native to Favus, though students of all kinds are welcome. Wealth means nothing at Dawa as when enrolled, students must live on campus and can only bring a limited amount of objects with them. The rest is supplied by the school.
Government
Currently run by Mandrake Typha, Dawa is under the Cypress Council and falls under the Favus rule.
Infrastructure
Dawa students work on campus as well as learning there, and Dawa has exchange programs to other countries in order to expand their scholarly scope. Dawa trades herbal remedies with other countries as an independent entity, and students partake in that wealth.
Guilds and Factions
The school is seperated in two ways, those practicing magical healing and those practicing non magical healing, and then those who are native to Favus and those who are not, or at least those who are not able to adjust to living in Favus. While all students must pass an entrance exam to enroll, those not native to Favus find living in the swamplands difficult. Enrollment grants automatic citizenship, but dropping out disposes of that perk. Often times students who want to keep citizenship but find themselves at odds with the reality of living in Favus will also find themselves at odds with native Favians.
History
Dawa was begun by a few of the religious refugees who fled from Apis, expirementing with clerical remedies as well as non magical forms of remedies.
