Elphaba Thropp, aka the Wicked Witch of the West, is the green-skinned and first born child of Melena Thropp. Frexspar the Godly was believed to be her father, but in truth Oscar Diggs, The Wizard of Oz, was her father. She was conceived after her mother drank Oscar's mysterious Miracle Elixir.
Some of Elphaba's most notable life moments include:

• Attending Shiz with her sister
• Rooming with Glinda the Good
• Traveling to the Emerald City
• Discovering her father was the Wizard and that he was a fraud
• Being dubbed the Wicked Witch of the West
• Conceiving her son, Liir Thropp, with her lover Fiyerro
• Saving Fiyerro by turning him into The Scarecrow
• Bullying the girl, Dorothy Gale, after the girl's house crushed her sister.
• Faking her death at the hands of Dorothy to escape the hatred of Oz.
• Living as a courtier in the Court of Crystal
• Being found by her brother, Wilmoor the Wise, and trapped in The Mysterious Manor 

Over the years, many travelers visted the Mysterious Manor while she was trapped. One such party was a group of Wilmoor's Scroll Finders, Sally I-Say-So, Polly I-Say-So, Alphonse Elric, and Belle. Elphaba's sub-conscious and the magic of the house created illusions that the party fought. The party left with four of the 13 Rings of Power that Elphaba had in her possession when her brother trapped her.
Years later the manor was visited by another party of adventurers: Britney Anastasia McGruglug DeAngelo, Hector C. Spectre, Hansel the Silver Knight, Darrel Tombstone a.k.a The Phantom, and The White Knight. The adventurers were able to break Elphaba from the spell and destroy the manor by having her dance with a memory of Fiyerro. She soon found out that Hansel and his sister, Gretel, were Nessa's children through Boq.
Since then she has been traveling with the group, hoping to eventually find her way back to Oz.
