Kelvin Underbarrel
Kelvin Underbarrel was a brewer, crimeboss, fallen adventurer, and slaver running the Black Sash Gang out of his farm. Ultimately however, he was a victim of Bergatha and the corrupting powers of Marti. While having (at least in his mind) a noble goal of saving the youth of Adrest, the increasing madness pushed him to extreme acts of villainy. He was defeated by the Frostyear Guardians and is currently in the jail in Ardrest under the watchful eye of Ansil Ironfist.

Personal history
Kelvin began his life in Ardrest where he courted Malda Greenvalley. In 1462 he left the small town to begin a life of adventure, eventually working with the famous writer/mage Nesicansar to end the threat of a necromantic orcish horde. Although Kelvin would not find out until his return, back in Ardrest, his sweatheart, Malda, married and gave birth to a baby girl a mere six months after he left. Though he could not prove it, he considered Lendi Greenvalley his daughter, and thus took a major blow in 1476 DR when the entire family vanished without a trace. Not knowing this was the work of Lendi's emergence as a hag, he believed a evil force was targeting the teens of Ardrest in and around the Fortyear Festival. It is unclear exactly when the hags began to prey on his mind, but the gang that he formed, planning to use it to do whatever was needed to save the children of the town, became a group of violent thugs and eventually slavers, as Kelvin fell deeper and deeper into madness.
He has a wife and a young son, who still live in Ardrest and continue to maintain the brewery, this time without the murderous thieves.
Mental Trauma
Kelvin suffered heavily under the courrupting influence of the Hags of Ardrest leading him to become increasingly deranged. In his goal to protect the town, he eventually succumbed to kidnaping and selling of local teens to get them out of the clutches of evil.
Intellectual Characteristics
Kelvin, when at his best, possessed a keen mind with a penchant for analysis. While not able to fully understand the hag's plot in Ardrest, he was able to identify a pattern in the disappearances of local teens. Unfortunately as this was the end result of the hag's attempts to make more of their type and not the begining, his efforts were ultimately misguided and fruitless.
