Fears Pass
A range of dark, almost obsidian-like mountains. As the name implies, most keep their distance from this region. It is a dangerous, but sometimes necessary, trek to take. Not only because of the steep and uneven terrain, but also the hostile local wildlife. Many rumors have been made and it has grown quite the spooky reputation.
“Peaks that stab from beneath the ground
A nice, warm comfort…never found.
This desolate place that’s always clouded
With creatures lurking, ever-shrouded
‘cuz these mountains are no person’s home.
So never should it be journeyed alone
Sounds with no source, sights with no meaning
Leave the bravest of heroes running n’ screaming.
So beware! For if fear were ever to take you
With despair, your loved ones would have to make due
Since no man returns, be it elf or kobold
Fears Pass is a mystery, with stories untold”
