Arborean, House Flori

The House Flori is the ancient and strongest of the ruling houses of Arborea. This family was already alive when the Phan Empire invaded Valenor, their power at the time extended all over Arborea and their strong and united people resisted to a standsstill the invaders from another world.

The House's connection to the goddess Danu is said to be mythological, dating back to the "War of the Gods" in which the Old Gods were banished from Valenor by the power of the New Gods. House Flori claims that her ancestors fought side by side with the goddess Danu. Historically many kings and queens of Arborea came from House Flori, and the current Queen, Adora, is no exception. The real power of House Flori is its prosperity, all of the northern area of the kingdom is under the control of the Flori family, with hundreds of minor noble houses under them. The Flori army is well trained and always ready for war, hundreds of fast and lethal wood-singed flying ships soar the sky of Arborea.

Countess Crisantemo, Queen Adora's cousin, assumed control of the house following Adora's election as queen of the whole kingdom. However, the two cousins have a strained relationship and often quarrel, which has lead to tensions within the family and affect their influence and power within the kingdom.

Recently an alliance with the Merchant League has opened a new avenue of power for House Flori, whose cities and ports are the only place where merchants from outside Arborea can attract and sell their wares. This is creating friction with other Houses, and Queen Adora Flori of Arborea should resolve this situation. Hanging between her family's appetite and the threat of a war between the houses... a problem not easily solved.
