Kiriu Atsutane

Kiriu served as the head of the Atsutane Clan between S185 and S232.

Personal History

Kiriu was born in S163, the oldest child of Sanjiro Atsutane. In S165 her younger brother Sankai was born, followed by her younger sister Yono in S166. The three siblings were raised at Shimaho in the Sky Ward of Nanganato.
In S171 their father became the Regent of Nanganato in S159 and the High Shield of the Temple of Hiega in the Ko Ward, but he passed away just ten years later in S181.
In S185 Kiriu married Sojuro, only weeks before the death of her grandmother Osen Atsutane. Osen had served as the head of the Atsutane Clan since before Kiriu's birth, but now the role was suddenly given to Kiriu. She dedicated herself to it entirely, delaying her married life for a short while.
In S191 Kiriu's son Mitsui was born. Much to her pride, Mitsui was a natural talent and developed into a gifted arcane practitioner and a gifted leader. In S221 He was named Regent of Nanganato, and in S222 he was named Daimyo of the Southern Province.
In S232 Kiriu passed away.
