Ronceauxians (Rong-SOW-rians)

The Ronceauxians, who call themselves Ronceauxien, are a human people from western Sildair. While their regent is a vassal of the King of Sarkara, they are a people proud of their independent culture. They speak their own language, and have their own customs, and their alligience to Sarkara is primarily an economic one.

Ronceaux is a feudal society, in which most make their living as farmers, although there are many merchants as well. The Tower of Mages is also found in Ronceaux, and a whole economy exists around the wizards and their magical skills. Most Ronceauxians are humans and half-elves, though there are a lot of gnomes in the Tower of Mages.

Ronceauxian humans are fair skinned, and some have hints of the golden skin of the High Elves of Yunathra.

The Church of Light is the primary religion in Ronceaux, as it is in most of western Sildair, but Liadriel has a big following as well, as does Hastor, among the wizards of the Tower of Mages.

The Ronceauxians speak Ronceauxien. Nobles are also expected to know Sarkaran and it is a common second language among merchants as well. The Tower of Mages and its upland is a very multicultural place where many languages are spoken.
