Monterey Naval Yards

Home to not only the Imperial Navy and their most prestigious academy, the Imperial Naval War College. It is here where most industry heads find their tech-based offices, doing research on new weapons and more importantly, petitioning the Military for more high level contracts. Much of the training for the Core Systems Navy is done here, and the massive support staff needed to control the Imperial Navy resides here, coordinating their efforts in a far flung system away. Monterey Naval Yards is home to a large Harrison Armory campus, along with various other intergalactic arms dealers. Smith-Shimano Corpo also holds a small holding here. Monterey is encircled by concentric rings of orbital defense stations and shipyards upon which around 100 million permanent residents reside and work. Here, the great paracausal and supermassive weaponry of the Armory is built, tested, and stored. The work in the rings is constant, and hulls of all sizes are churned out at a rate that is staggering in scale, arming the almost the entirety of the Imperial Navy. The Lord Solar takes up residence here, alongside the most senior flag officers of the navy. They wage the wars of the empire from this fortress world, relaying orders to the imperial forces stationed across the Mid Rim. A vast bueracratic network exists on the planet, tracking the movements and supply orders of hundreds of thousands of ships.
