Olo

Olo is the planet that all the Stacked Odds games take place on.

(Also see Technology of Olo for an overview of the modern state of the planet)

Olo is about 90% the mass of Earth with less than half the landmass as a result of the high water level. As a result of a collision with a comet about a billion years ago, the planet rotates in the opposite direction of most planets. This collision also caused the formation of a ring system that appears to be two rings to the human eye. Rings of Context and Shroud
The two moons, Ingot and TCT Presents - Moon still orbit Olo as they did before the rotation change. They are getting slightly closer to the planet every year and in a few million years will cause an apocalyptic scenario.   Olo gets hit by many meteorites. Every 300-400 years the intensity of these meteorites increases significantly, making life on the surface much harder. Sometimes these events can kill a large amount of the life on Olo.   There are two native species on the planet, the much older Olollo species and the Udo. The Olollo developed deep in the oceans of Olollo and became the dominant species on the planet. The Udo evolved to live in the driest of desert regions where the Olollo could not reach them.

About 2,000 years ago a Colony Ship full of 500 humans from Earth landed in the area now known as Northwinds Pass. The introduction of humans and the library of genetic information they brought with them from Earth quickly changed the biology of Olo. The Olollo were eager to use the Genetic Library from Earth to clone animals not native to Olo.   298 years ago, Olo was hit by a large amount of meteorites and populations of most land species were greatly reduced. The Olollo were relatively unaffected.
Population : 60,000

Humans on Olo

Humans are not native to Olo, but they have been a part of the planet for about 2,000 years. Their population has varied between 500 - 100,000, with the number of humans being drastically cut down ever 300-400 years as a result of apocolyptic levels of space debris hitting the planet.
Only a small portion of Olo is known to the humans. (the red square in the following picture) There is much land that has yet to be explored.

The Olollo

The Olollo are the dominant species on Olo, but do not inhabit the land. They live deep under sea and rely of selective breeding and genetic modification to grow any tools or food they may need. They are very interested in the genetic information the aliens from Earth brought to Olo. However they are also weary of the human's dangerous industrial capabilities and what it can do to damage their planet. When the apocolypse happens, the Olo try to save only about 500 humans, this way their numbers are kept in check.
