Technological Level
The Dahlias have focused their technological minds on the efficiency of their gold mining facilities. There is evidence of this in the massive pipes that hang above the Mining District (also called the Dust District) that direct the wind off of the nearby mountains to power the turbines that give electricity to the operation. However, such winds being directed towards the mines has begun to shoot up massive amounts of dust as work progressed through the years, and for every major wind that grants the mine another day or two of use, another cloud of dust chokes half of the estate's citizenry on toxic wastes. The discovery of electricity, however, has benefited the Dahlias to such an extent as to allow them to freely construct new inventions, such as powered rail cars and minor train systems.
