early Republican era

The early Republican era is the time from the Great Revolution (Year 0) to the 10th Legislature Period in the Year 79.

It is considered the beginning of the Modern Age in Stygian history.

This period was one of profound restructuring and reform of the political, religious and social systems of Styx during which the first Temple Parliament was formed.
The first assembly was made up of members of the revolutionary forces and set out to develop a system of government for the people of Styx that would guarantee that they'd never live under oppressive noble rule again.

First decrees during this time include the complete reinterpretation of the Code of Serkatha and the restructuring of the Church of Serkatha, now without High Priestesses and with renewed focus on the Saints to supplement the worship of Serkatha herself.

Men and wyreth as well as non-Sumraki-Ashaī, sapient Undead and sapient constructs were granted equal legal rights including voting rights and the first comprehensive legal statures for the then named People's Republic of Styx were drafted.

The early Republican era was followed by the Unionization era.
