Gnosit: A veritable platypus. Many other metropolises on earth bring together cultures from afar, but nowhere but Gnosit boasts such a seemingly random mix of people co-existing in patchwork fashion.   The continent is sole home of The Dok – a pointy-eared species humans call “Elves”. Their ancestral territory is snowy Dokeen, but most were forced to migrate roughly a century ago due to environmental disaster and these days occupy the more temperate lands of Bluepool, where they founded the flourishing cities of forward-looking Rigo and traditionalist Bonicaroo.   Some elves yet live in Dokeen, alongside the indigenous Shu, who appear human but possess certain adaptations that suggest they may be a different species altogether. The Shu congregate near the Temple of the Bones, where the The Monks of Ti-Lak abide.   The Elves’ historic path is tied to the fate of Ald Cyngric, once the seat of the Sakxani Empire: Eddvar, the Empire’s last King, denied elves entrance to his lands and most hold a resulting curse responsible for the flooded and overgrown state of the province currently. Its only real inhabitants now are a handful of small tribes of Qildabic descent: the Onka, Kamanuk, and Taramba.   Dragonshead and Sekh Anoob are settled by humans, the former lighter-skinned and related to those in Rajan and Sakxa, the latter, darker and from Pendaharut stock.   Dragonshead is a lush place run from the capital city of Magnavil. There are many farms and fisheries, and the people there live a fairly quiet existence.   Sekh Anoob is now run by a dynasty of conquerors from L'ai Alaq, the Nazhbehtaqs, out of the new capital of Seqqwat’in. Tensions exist between these magic-despising rulers and the native Anoobi order of sorcerors, The Sons of the Serpent, who, like the The Council of Landezon, have a time-honoured role in keeping The Hex from moving north into their domain.   Yimihachika's significance in the life of Khajuro and specifically, the Tragedy of Enk' Ishr caused officials to declare this huge, rocky province legally off bounds for anyone to enter. There are doubtlessly groups living in its desolate surroundings anyway, and likely other mysteries.
